Terms of Use

The short version. Gotalia is a free app that helps you understand your shower water use. There are no accounts. The numbers it shows are estimates, not official measurements. Use it for awareness, not for billing or anything that needs exact figures.

These Terms govern your use of the Gotalia mobile application ("the app", "Gotalia"), provided by Jordi Reina ("we", "us"). By downloading or using the app, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

1. License

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Gotalia on devices you own or control, for your own personal, non-commercial use, subject to these Terms and to the Apple App Store Licensed Application End User License Agreement.

2. Estimates, not measurements

Gotalia estimates shower duration, water volume, and savings from sound detected by your device's microphone, using general assumptions about flow rates. These figures are approximate and provided for awareness only. They are not suitable for billing, legal, official, or other purposes that require accurate measurement, and may differ from your actual water consumption.

3. No accounts; your data

Gotalia has no account system. Your shower history is stored on your device. Optional anonymous analytics and our privacy practices are described in our Privacy Policy.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the app — including attempting to reverse-engineer it (except where permitted by law), interfere with its operation, or use it in any unlawful way.

5. Intellectual property

Gotalia, including its name, design, and content, is owned by us and protected by applicable laws. These Terms do not transfer any ownership rights to you.

6. "As is"; no warranty

The app is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and accuracy. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that its estimates are accurate.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any decisions made in reliance on the app's estimates. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including your statutory consumer rights.

8. Changes

We may update the app and these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "last updated" date above. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Spain, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protection rights you have in your country of residence.
